![]() ![]() ![]() Feel free to disagree with that evaluation, but don't dismiss a position and go around insulting people for any reason because you disagree without considering their stance (to be fair, they also could have done a better job of explaining why they thought it was a trap). They seem to think that the floor outweighs the ceiling. The CZ seem to think its not in the meta's that they play in. And in a more casual meta where games go longer and tutors are less used the chances of seeing this card when its bad start to approach or overtake the chances of seeing it when its good.ĭoes the upside outweigh the downside of having a dead-card at other points of the game? Maybe. Its a card that is extremely strong when in the development stages of the game, but may do little to nothing while behind, and will do nothing when ahead. If the correct requirements aren't met (Selvala is in play, LP is your biggest creature on board, LP is the biggest creature on the entire board), it quickly starts to lose value. The floor on Lupine Prototype is doing nothing. I think its fair for the CZ to be concerned about Lupine Prototype, especially in less optimized decks, because of how low the floor is. The beauty is that if you want to up the power level of the deck and play a Brostorm build, you can easily swap some fatties with combo pieces for relatively cheap and she becomes a combo deck rather than a turbo stompy deck.I'm going to ignore your 'custom card' because its so different/stronger from Lupine Prototype it isn't really comparable. Hell, last night I won by activating ] to biorhythm the board and trample in for lethal. Craterhoof, Genesis Wave, Overwhelming creature beats, Triumph of the Hordes, etc. It's still very easy to win a number of different ways. Turn 1 dork, Turn 2 Selvala, Turn 3 ramp out something ridiculous, Turn 4 start to abuse creature power based card draw effects or tutors to find an untapper or more big threats and then you are off to the races. ![]() She's still an absolute beast and one of the fastest decks I own. I built her to be non-infinite since my playgroup doesn't like infinite combos all that much. Even if you don't go infinite with her, she still enables you to ramp out ridiculous things super fast. ![]() What is there to not see? She's a mega-mana dork with a dash of card draw. But I see no real reason to play selvala if you dont want to run infinite with her ![]()
